In the 1830s, Something happened in Japan which has since been written out of the pages of history. The Hebbi no dojo (snake dojo) and Ryu no dojo (dragon dojo) were at war with each other, neither side gaining the upperhand. Things seemed grim, until things became grimmer. The Ryukami no ten, a more powerful samurai clan, showed up on the scene and proceded to mop the floor with the 2 clans at war. The Ryukami no ten under the leadership of Moritsune and his generals began obtaining more influence daily. The hebbi no dojo began to regain its numbers and a fierce counterstrike was in the planning stages.
Then it happened...
Akisu Yoru Toushin, a local thief and sworn enemy of the Ryukami no ten, began to settle down and had found a woman who he had fallen for. Moritsune, seeing a chance to keep the upper hand, made Akisu an offer he couldn't refuse. Kill off the Hebbi no dojo members and the girl doesn't die. Torn between his allies and his love, Akisu chose to give in to the demands. Obtaining explosives, Akisu infiltrated the dojo easily and planted each and every one. He walked out and pressed the detonator sending the dojo into oblivion. Only a few members weren't in the building when it went up. Moritsune kept his word, but soon afterwards relations grew distant, and Akisu was alone again. Vowing revenge and feeling deep remorse, Akisu decided to join up with Moritsune hoping for the right time to backstab his sworn enemy. Akisu managed to convince Moritsune to make him a General and is now biding his time.
But Akisu couldn't have been prepared at who was on the survivors list. Away from the dojo when it went up was his second biggest thorn in his side. Reiji Toeiama, a high ranking samurai of the Hebbi and not the most mentally stable person as is, returned to the dojo to find it a smoldering pile of rubble. Distraught over the loss of his companions, Reiji swore revenge against not only the Ryukami no ten but whoever bombed the dojo.
Now Moritsune has a fortress, and things are looking at their most grim. How will things unfold now?
